Are you under 10yo or are you the parent of a youth that is under 10yo? Are you planning on attending the event with friends or family and are not planning on participating in the festival riding however would still like to come in the event village and have dinner on the SAT night and enjoy the entertainment? Fainters Trail backcountry ride (Saturday: 7:45-3:00pm)
This social ride is open to riders who have 2 or 3 day festival tickets only.
Fainters trail backcountry social ride from Falls Creek to Mt Beauty with a shuttle back to the Ignition MTB Festival event village. THIS IS AN ADVANCED RIDE FITNESS AND TECHNICAL WISE.
Climbing 5 mountains over 40kms you are put to the test physically and technically. Riders need to be self sufficient with food, spare parts, tools, phone, first aid. We will have some social leaders to help show you the way and offer some support along the way. Trail will be marked and riders are free to travel at their own pace.
Rider briefing is 7:45am SAT morning at the Ignition event village: Gully Car Park, Falls Creek.
The shuttle to the starting point departs the village at 8:00am sharp. We won’t be waiting for anyone running late.
Shuttle from Mt Beauty bakery back to Falls Creek departs 1:30pm arriving at Falls Creek around 2:30-3:00pm-ish
You MUST have a multi day Ignition MTB Festival ticket including SAT to attend this ride.
There is a minimum numbers requirement for this ride being: 15 Riders. If this requirement is not reached within 2 weeks of the event, the ride will be cancelled and registered riders will be notified via email.
Foundation skills lesson - Saturday 8:00-10:00am
Foundation MTB lesson (2 hour) – Focused on the fundamentals of MTB and the core basic skills which can be developed and improved to become a great rider. Start the right way and don’t develop bad habits. This lesson is ran by our professional skills instructors and will have you riding beginner friendly trails within the Falls Creek MTB Park. Our instructors will work closely with each rider to build confidence and develop and string foundation of riding. These lessons are kept to small group sessions allowing for a more personalised atmosphere.
IMPORTANT: All participants must have an Ignition MTB Festival event ticket to be able to participate in skills lessons.
Intermediate skills lesson - Multiple times available
Intermediate Skills lesson (2 hours) – Targeted at Beginners/intermediates that want to take their skills to the next level and get smoother, faster, more confident and develop correct techniques. These lessons will focus on both tech and flow and what it takes to become a well rounded versatile rider.
Lesson times:

- Saturday 2:00-4:00pm
Our instructors are highly experienced PMBI qualified coaches. They are elite riders and the perfect people to teach you how to reach the next level.
Our instructors will work closely with each rider to build confidence and enhance their riding. These lessons are kept to small group sessions allowing for a more personalised atmosphere.

Advanced skills session - Friday 2:00PM
Session time: Friday 2:00-4:00pm
This lesson is ran by our professional skills instructors and will have you riding trails within the Falls Creek MTB Park. Our instructors will work closely with each rider to build confidence and develop and string foundation of riding. These lessons are kept to small group sessions allowing for a more personalised atmosphere.
IMPORTANT: All participants must have an Ignition MTB Festival event ticket to be able to participate in skills lessons.
Private skills session - Multiple times available
A private 2 hour skills lesson will help you develop and improve your skills in a comfortable no pressure environment. Prior to your lesson our instructors will develop a lesson plan based around your improvement areas you are looking at so that on the day it is as simple as turning up and getting out on the trails.
This lesson is ran by our professional skills instructors and will have you riding trails within the Falls Creek MTB Park. Our instructors will work closely with you one on one to improve your target skills. These lessons are available one on one or if you have a friend or family member you would like to join you, there will be a maximum of 2 people per lesson.

Enter the Mini Bike Australian Championship ballot
This is your chance to enter the inaugural Mini Bike Dual Slalom Australian Championship!!
Riders will race a custom made dual slalom course comprising of mini jumps, bridges, obstacles and more. Riders will be eliminated each round until the champion is crowned. There will be beats, beers, live commentary and more.
Successful ballot entrants will be randomly drawn prior to the event and riders will be notified via email.
Riders must be available to be at the event village from 4:30pm on Friday 21 NOV.
Compulsory: All entrants must have a full face helmet, knee pads, fully enclosed shoes and gloves. Riders must supply their own gear. Bikes will be supplied.
There will be 4 race categories.
